If there were not that unborn, unbecome,
unmade, unfabricated, there would not be
the case that emancipation
from the born, become, made, fabricated,
would be discerned.

Activities of the Center are intended to include the twofold way of following the path - the way of study and the way of practice. When we develop the right views we can engage in the practice of calming the mind, while the experience of a calm mind can only through a right understanding become a right insight into the nature of reality. The inseparability of practice from study and vice versa are confirmed at every step of our way along the Path. Prevalence of one over the other is manifested as the absence of one's own experience and constant "counting of somebody else's treasure" in a case when study is prevalent, or in the wrong interpretation of meditative experience when practice is pursued without understanding.

Therefore, the first cycle of activities in the Center includes meditation classes for the beginners, weekly group sittings, meditation retreats of one to seven days duration, and courses and programs of study of Buddhist teachings from basic to advanced levels.

The following cycle of activities involves the celebration of important events of the Buddhist calendar, such as the commemoration of the Buddha's awakening, Vesakh, or celebration of Bodhidharma's Day. Vesakh is the most important Buddhist festival because it celebrates the event that set in motion the wheel of Dharma and opened the door out of the cycle of dissatisfaction and suffering, the door leading to happiness and peace. Bodhidharma is a remarkably significant person in the history of Chan school. He is held to be the founder of the school in China and the person who shaped its contents, methods of teaching, and transmission by his specific understanding of the Buddha's teaching.

Whenever it is possible, the Center provides an opportunity to its members to listen to distinguished teachers of original Buddhist traditions, either by inviting teachers to Croatia, or by arranging participation of members at meditation retreats held abroad.

Special program of the Center also includes other additional events that reflect the mindful way of living and thinking. For example, there are seminars that are traditionally held twice a year: a weekend seminar in the spring and a two-week seminar at the end of summer. At these seminars, the complementary disciplines of zenyoga and kempo are practiced. along with the usual Buddhist meditation.

From a simple introduction to Buddhist thought, to the participation in the regular and progressive way of study and practice, everyone can find activities best suited to his or her individual interests and needs.
